The French documentary, called “The world according to Monsanto” directed by independent filmmaker Marie-Monique Robin, paints a grim picture of a company with a long track record of environmental crimes and health scandals.

The story starts in the White House, where Monsanto often got its way by exerting disproportionate influence over policymakers via the “revolving door”. One example is Michael Taylor, who worked for Monsanto as an attorney before being appointed as deputy commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1991. While at the FDA, the authority that deals with all US food approvals, Taylor made crucial decisions that led to the approval of GE foods and crops. Then he returned to Monsanto, becoming the company’s vice president for public policy.

Thanks to these intimate links between Monsanto and government agencies, the US adopted GE foods and crops without proper testing, without consumer labeling and in spite of serious questions hanging over their safety. Not coincidentally, Monsanto supplies 90 percent of the GE seeds used by the US market.

Monsanto’s long arm stretched so far that, in the early nineties, the US Food and Drugs Agency even ignored warnings of their own scientists, who were cautioning that GE crops could cause negative health effects. Other tactics the company uses to stifle concerns about their products include misleading advertising, bribery and concealing scientific evidence.

This is truly unacceptable. But there is hope! Every time you spend your money on organic non GMO foods it takes money away from these tyrants. Remember that we (The mindless consumers) have all the power. Dont buy cheap food. I know it sucks but try reading and researching your food. Quit being so damn lazy America! They count on you being passive and sitting in front of the TV eating double cheese burgers. Wake up and see what your paying for. Unfortunately most of the people that need to read this message and see this film will not. Ignorance is bliss and there fucking snug as a bug. Email this video and others from this site to your friends and family. We can save the world from profit mongering egomaniacs. If we dont give them any money and do not just passively digest this garbage they give us they are truly powerless.

Do your body and the earth a favor and put in healthy organic foods. Try to love one another and accept that they are you! you are they! There is no need for this. We can exist without Law or money or competition but we have to be united and honest with each other. Im sorry for carrying on like this but I am just mad as hell and Im not going to take this anymore! We might just have to beat them at there own game and bankrupt them. Research who you are giving your money too and make sure they are the ones who deserve it. Easier said than done I know…. Thank you to everyone who has had the blinders removed and are trying to expose these liars. Lets take back whats ours,,,This beautiful world
