A feature length documentary about humanity’s absolute dependence on animals (for pets, food, clothing, entertainment, and scientific research) but also illustrates our complete disrespect for these so-called “non-human providers.” Using hidden cameras and never-before-seen footage, earthlings chronicles the day-to-day practices of the largest industries in the world, all of which rely entirely on animals for profit.

Great documentary but a very sad viewing. It’s appalling to see how low we have sunk as a species, with no respect for anyone or anything in general.

Very sad movie, should be required viewing. I look at leather furniture differently…hell I look at this whole world differently.
I’ve been a semi-vegitarian ever since.

what a vivid and confronting film. never have i been so horrified by the human race, not by war, slavery, torture or any other sickening act. the sheer magnitude of our callousness is too much. the society that can hang up an animal and bleed it to death or inflict torture for a bogus medical science is one that will never be free of war or violence. im voting with my feet on this.

It was a difficult view, I would often take a few breaks in between sections, but I believe it is better to face the truth and know. Next we need to spread this everywhere we can so we may all better ourselves – all evils hide behind closed doors where there is no light. Time to start shining torches.. Thanks for posting

I do not know what to say..
Why humans do this ? Because humans can.
Do we need to do this to survive ? No, it is all about the money.
I think people who can torture or kill animals are not so bright, all which they care about is money. I am absolutely sure they will pay for what they have done.
I myself killed a few animals, but just to end their sufferings…
..anyway I never liked humans, because I feel we are not from this place. I just hope humanity will perish as soon as possible.

This is my second time seeing this. We are so lost. Look at what we have done to each other over time… wars, slavery, holocaust, Native Americans… animals never had a chance really.
One way or another I believe balance will be restored. By us, by nature, or by the universe but it will happen.
The whole will not ‘see’ until we all become number 2 on the dominance ladder and no amount of fame, fortune, good looks, skin color, beliefs or intelligence will be able to make a difference.
