Determined to find the law that requires American citizens to pay income tax, producer Aaron Russo set out on a journey to find the evidence. This film which is neither left, nor right-wing is a startling examination of government. It exposes the systematic erosion of civil liberties in America since 1913 when the Federal Reserve system was fraudulently created.
Through interviews with U.S. Congressmen, a former IRS Commissioner, former IRS and FBI agents and tax attorneys and authors, Russo connects the dots between money creation, federal income tax, and the national identity card which becomes law in May 2008. This ID card will use Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) chips which are essentially homing devices used to track people. This film shows in great detail and undeniable facts that America is moving headlong into a fascist police state. Wake up!

This issue is much simpler than we’ve been making it. Are you a human being with a right to his own labor-property, or are you a “taxpayer” dealing in “income”? Do you live and do business in the natural world, or are you engaged in “commerce”? Most Americans are indeed taxpayers because of a contractual relationship with the government (ie “voluntary compliance”). It’s the missing link in Russo’s argument:

This is an interesting documentary. I believe even though the law book is like a deceptive ocean of words that ultimately justifies the nature of human beings to live under a governing guidelines in everything (since the law book itself is written by the humans) , on a broader picture its really subjective whether one has to pay a tax or not.
We get access to civic amenities and other basic facilities if we pay our taxes. The basic assumption is the money accumulated as a result of our taxes is in return used in the development of the nation. One important point that Russo rises is if there is “undocumentable adjustments” in a person’s assets while filing income tax they are brought under the court of law and held for accountability.
At the same time when the government is asked to show the accountability of their spending on the so called “development of the nation”, the “undocumentable adjustments” does not make them fall under the hands of law to show some accountability. THIS ITSELF MAKES IT CLEAR THAT UNLESS WE ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE LAW IS MADE IN SUCH A WAY THAT IN BOTH WAYS IRS CANT BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANYTHING , ITS A CLEAR PICTURE OF PRIVATELY HELD ORGANISATION WITH COLOSSAL DISCRETIONARY POWER OVER THE LAW.
Now if IRS is a privately held organisation, then the whole concept of paying taxes becoming subjective since as mentioned by invisiblecontract above – voluntary compliance comes with strings attached so the one who engages with the government for accessing any of its benefits becomes liable to pay for those benefits under a contractual mode.
So theoritically if anyone who is born in US(within the geographical margin) becomes an US citizen immediately. Once he/she becomes an US citizen – theres a set of Constitutional Rights that starts applying to them since birth. Then along with it comes the “additional benefits” that individual is going to receive for being an US citizen (like accessing public transport, gas, food, communication , etc) but at a certain set of laws/regulations under which they are bound to do a series of things (nothing more and nothing less). In this context – PAYING TAX.
This invariably means that every single individual who is on the birth records of the US voters list means they are legally “in contract” with the Government since birth. Any breach of this contract will lead to punishment – thus its quite logical to say that such profound dexterity is only made to make us slaves to the Government right since birth like the Feudal System where generations after generations kept paying the debt but never got free.
If you were born in Nevada desert , then grew up and made your own living on the nature provided elements , have no bank account , no social security number or driving license does that mean you will have to pay tax for anything? The answer should be no but here is the complication -”you are still born inside the US geographical territory so you are a slave by contract yet again”

I am not an american, though what’s happening there troubles me because it will/is bleeding over to my country, Australia (or as the term as been coined ‘America 2′) I’m just wondering does this crippling debt/interest paradox grip my country too? Do we have out own FRB or is the same one digging it’s talons in here too? this doco and many like it suggest ways to fight this tyrany though they are largely America centric. I long ago decided not to joint the ‘defense’ forces or any LEO organisation, but beyond that, should I be beating down the door of parllement saying “Oi I want my $250 per pay cheque back” more international info would be greatly apreciated

the point of this video is not to fight for your right not to pay income taxes, it is to fight for its unconstitutionality. if the majority of americans can at least learn about the fraudulent fine print then that is all you need in order to demolish not only the income tax scheme but also the federal reserve and any other item of disinterest that requires only revelation to the public in order for it to be reprimanded for its fraud. remember that congress represents the people. if congress doesn’t comply with the people, they can be taken out of office. if it’s an issue with the supreme court, the courts have to follow the constitution as it is the supreme law. there just arent people in the governemtn working for the people. they only work for America the country. it is too bad we have a two party system. its an ingenious way to divide the people. half of the voters vote based on party connotation rather than the actual ideology of the person that is being elected. you can see it now with the mid terms. all the news channels claim that congress will swing to the republicans. thats too bad. i was hoping congress would swing towards the american people for once.

Well the 16th Amendment as far as my knowledge was ratified by 36 states and put into effect. The Amendment is as follows
“The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.”
So right there congress has the right to directly tax us without it being apportioned. Also if I am reading correctly the Amendment was ratified in February where as AAron Russo made it seem like it happened during Christmas when no one was there. Please correct me if I’m wrong. So that to me makes it seem like what they are doing is… legal. Where is the problem? We let this happen so now we have to deal with it. What is it exactly that makes what the IRS is doing illegal. Is it because we don’t know what they do with our money? If so then what law is that breaking. Don’t get me wrong. I would be more then happy to not pay income tax but I need to understand this before I can go around telling people that the IRS is a fraud.

In response to McSpargeslarg: Less than 20 states actually ratified the 16th amendment. You can find the details of what happened by going to the following link.

Thank you Aaron for this excellent piece of work not just as a documentary but as a serious wake up call to the population. I would recommend that everyone pass it along to your friends and enemies. 2011 will be ushering in some extraordinary changes and perhaps the abolishment of the IRS and the Federal Reserve will be 1st on the list.

Ive just had a moment of inspiration.
In discovering this genre of documentaries I have noticed a severe loathing of the established order. I have noticed that my moods are negative after I watch films like this, but I understand the importance.
In my on going research in my own consciousness I have discovered a few truths. One of which is the fact that we do manifest our own reality into existence (The whoe “secret” thing). I believe that these documentaries are valuable, but they also may act to bring the very thing they are trying to expose.
When watching this film I got a sudden sense of happiness. I can remember saying to myself, “God Im so happy that America is not like this anymore.” Like this was a film of how corrupt America was and now its better.
I think that one should have this approach when educating ones self about such matters. Its easy to get sucked down into this hole of hopelessness. And that hopelessness will most definitely manifest itself into your existence.
If we keep in mind that ” This is the terrible way it was and now everything is so much better” while watching films like this will help it to become everyones reality and get these scum out of office. Thanks everyone. Together we can make the change.

I get guys like this who call me all the time. Nothing is more annoying then hearing some nutcase ramble on and on about how the income tax is illegal and references documentaries like this. If you want to go to jail and be labeled a tax protestor than good luck to you. If you want to resolve your taxes and move on with your life hire someone who can help you. These arguments are not going to stop a bank levy, a wage garnishment or tax lien from being filed. The government is going to make the laws as they see fit and if you do not believe they are fair then write your congressperson unless you are willing to go to jail for a battle you will not win.
